Aged 50, a Chartered Accountant, joined the Board in April 2005. He was previously the Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer of Celltech Group plc, a UK listed biotechnology company.  He is also a non-executive director of ProStrakan Group plc and Chairman of Chroma Therapeutics Limited.
