History:

Axess Technology was created in 1989 by Patrick Journo and specialised from the beginning in displays. The company was part of the Memec Group from 1995 before returning back to an independent company in November 2000.

At the end of 2004, Axess Technology bought the French distributor RDI (Realisation et Diffusion pour l’Industrie) mainly dedicated to distribution of connectors and fuses from the British group First Technology. Both companies, Axess and RDI, were acquired by the Abacus Group in April 2006.

Operations and Strategy:

Axess Technology specialises in display technology holding some key franchises in France such as NEC, Sanyo and Powertip. The company has its headquarters in Rungis (near Orly Airport south of Paris) with local sales offices across France.

Since 2002, Axess Technology has developed a specific strategy supporting displays and wireless applications acting as a stocking rep. and distributor with the additional capability to help customers with the design of their products.
