History:

Abacus ECC (previously ECC Elettronica srl) was the main part of the IEC Group structure and one of the major distributors in Italy where it has operated for 24 years.  ECC was purchased by Abacus Group in 2004 and ECC was renamed Abacus ECC in 2006.  In January 2006 Abacus Group acquired Deltron Electronics and merged the Italian operation, Deltron EuroInd with Abacus ECC retaining the Abacus ECC company name.

Operations and Strategy:

Abacus ECC is structured into two divisions:
• Component Division, created in order to cover the national territory and to offer a diversified service across Italy.
• Trident, which sells LCD, SBC, Memory, Wireless Components and Microsoft Embedded licences.
